Key Updates in ISO 37001:2025

Transition to ISO 37001:2025

MS Certification Services Private Limited will initiate the transition process for all accredited certifications in accordance with applicable accreditation and international transition guidelines.

Organizations may transition through:

• Scheduled surveillance or recertification audits incorporating the new requirements; or
• Dedicated transition audits depending on system complexity and organizational needs.

Transition Audit Evaluation Criteria

• Alignment with ISO 37001:2025 requirements
• Updated documented information and policies
• Staff awareness and competency development
• Risk assessment updates, particularly conflicts of interest

Upon successful completion, certification will be upgraded to ISO 37001:2025 while maintaining the existing certification cycle.

Important Transition Deadlines

• From February 2026: Transition audits for existing certified clients will commence.
• From 31 August 2026: All new certifications and recertifications will be issued exclusively under ISO 37001:2025.
• By 28 February 2027: All ISO 37001:2016 certificates must be transitioned to the 2025 edition.
